With the holidays on the horizon and our calendars (and yours, I’m sure!) growing fuller by the day, I’m relying on elegant staples that I can slip into and style quickly more than ever. One of the many reasons I love dresses is that they create an effortless, one-piece outfit–it’s comforting to know that if I wanted or needed to, I could put on a dress and a pair of shoes and walk out the door for the day, looking polished and feminine after getting ready in mere minutes. Jumpsuits offer the exact same convenience, so they’ve become my favorite alternative to dresses over recent years. Jumpsuits often feel a little more daring, which makes them a fun, unexpected choice for date nights and dressier occasions. We had this busy, exciting feel of late autumn at the forefront of our minds when we designed our very first jumpsuit, the Meredith, for Gal Meets Glam Collection!
Depending on the fabric and details, jumpsuits range from casual weekend wear to a black-tie-appropriate outfit choice. Like all Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces, I wanted the Meredith jumpsuit to work for more than one occasion, and be a piece that women could reach for again and again. A sleek, full-length silhouette achieves the elegance I was after, while bows on the sleeves add a playful touch. Perfectly placed bows have quickly become a Gal Meets Glam Collection signature–if you love the ones on this jumpsuit, just wait till you see all of the bows in our November Collection! The Meredith jumpsuit is available in classic black and a punchy raspberry hue, both of which have proved incredibly versatile. For a recent evening out, I opted for the black version, accessorized with my new favorite bow earrings and a tortoise clutch. I’ve still been able to get away with going out sans coat in Charleston, but once that’s no longer the case, I’ll layer on a leather moto jacket, or, later in winter, a wool coat.
I was so curious to see how our customers would respond to the Meredith jumpsuit since it’s a first for the Gal Meets Glam Collection, and I have loved seeing the ways women are wearing it! Did I mention it also comes in petite sizes?
